Now, as the seller and I hasten to add with over 64,000 online transactions over the last 17 years we have not encountered this before, but how can we do anything when online tracking shows its been delivered?? That would then open the whole thing up to some serious abuse if tracking showed delivered and every customer said we do not have it.
The buyer/customer even on his negative review even suggests (mistake from the French post, maybe), last I heard was he was making a claim against French post, I assume because online showed delivered they say NO, Royal Mail also said NO, so I/we get the negative!! You could not make this up!
So Catawiki gave you a 60 euro voucher for something showing online as delivered (your total outlay was 94 euro including P & P, I would say BRAVO to Catawiki for making such a goodwill gesture,
For everyone else reading, the customers address was confirmed as to be correct during our conversations, the tracking number of the missing?DELIVERED parcel is LB094480475GB, delivered 4 days after posting from Scotland to France.
This leaves a very bad taste in my mouth, the review was left without further message to myself and most probably after all avenues were exhausted by the buyer trying to get a refund out of French Post for an item showing as delivered,
So French Post cock it up but we take the flack?? I hope you have left a similar review on the French Post website??
We will be taking this up with Catawiki as try as I might I am dammed if I can think of a soloution to such an incident, you have explored all avenues and we take the anger for something you admit appears to be a French postal system error,
