This rug was exported from Iran before 1 January 2015.
These rugs are knotted in the holy city of Ghom in central Persia. The material used is silk which makes them thin and tight. The rugs are extremely well made and in some cases, very detailed. This sort of rug demonstrates a nice tradition of knotting silk rugs and is one of the best, newly made rugs.
