Beautiful old silver jasseron necklace with two knitting caps or knitting needle cases at the end. Other names are: knitting-needle caps – holders – sheaths or protectors. (Knitting needle guard caps) Beautiful classic style. These holder were valuable and were worn on a necklace, around the neck or on a belt (chatelaine). Knitting-needle cases were put over the point of a knitting needle. Two hallmarks, sword (835) and an old mark. Necklace weighs 37.7 grams. The silver bead in the middle can go up and down.
