This is a hand-knotted Berber carpet, made of durable, natural materials.
Imperfections in the patterns and shape make this carpet unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character.
Berber rugs are made by the Berber people, who live in Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.
The patterns are simple, often with geometrical figures and stair-like patterns and sometimes details of flora and fauna.
The most common colours are shades of beige and brown.
Berber carpets are made of wool that has not been spun and often coloured naturally on a cotton warp (bobbin thread).
The carpets are of a thick and heavy quality.
The colours are not even, this is due to the colour of the sheep's wool.
Berber rugs are excellent rugs for daily use, with a high durability.
This is a used carpet, which has become more beautiful and characteristic due to the natural ageing process.
Shades of red, rose, green, yellow, purple, cream and blue.
Rich lustre; bright colours
