A metal sign with the Michelin road map of "Western Europe" from 1970, in very nice condition. The title already states that it is an excerpt of the Michelin map number 987, officially the map for Germany, the Benelux countries and Austria. The maps fully shows the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Most of West-Germany, Switzerland partially and finally North-East France. Please see the photos for further details. The sign is made by Etipan in Brussels and is a Belgian edition and fully annotated in the bottom. The sign has four mounting holes in the corners. Size: 58.3 x 78.8 cm Condition: Very good. For a metal sign that is almost 50 years old it is in beautiful condition. The printed map area is virtually untouched! There are traces but almost exclusively on the edges. The lower right corner has a scratch in the border. Slight traces around the mounting holes. There are slight distortions and some minor dents in the thin tin-like metal, but this does not distract from the beauty of the sign. The back has slightly more wear: minor rust spots here and there and areas where the sign was bumped against another object and some signs in the folding edge. But that is the back.
