Seldom a magnificent antique carpet can be found, which encapsulates the cross-reference between east and west. This antique pre-1900 extra large handmade Persian Bijar carpet demonstrates the high standard of craftsmanship at its best. Measuring 540x340cm (17ft.8in x 11ft), it has all over hexagonal shaped field decorated with small floral motifs in the white background which in turn are enclosed by 4 exquisite blue corners as well as bands of geometrical borders.
