For example, this magnificent handmade silk and wool Persian Isfahan carpet which bearing a signature of the famous painter and Eliminationist Haj Mirza Aqa Emmami (1880-1955). Haji Mirza Emmami although was not a carpet weaver, his painting works played the influential part in designing patterns used by various weavers for their rugs from early to mid 20th century. Measuring 250 x 155cm (8'2"x5'), this splendid carpet demonstrates it all over white lattice field, decorated with interlinked palmettes and meandering floral vines and being enclosed by light orange borders in almost perfect condition.
