M.C. Escher, 'Drie werelden'; original lithograph, signed on the bottom left, print 36 x 25 cm; behind mat in aluminium Barth frame (56 x 41 cm)
This lithograph, of which only 33 were printed, a special issue of 700 pieces were printed for the VAEVO (= Renewal of upbringing and education movement) in May 1956.
The print is glued onto hardboard at the top.
Only the top edge was glued on hardboard. As far as the seller knows it this has always been the case, since the print was so purchased. The traces that are visible outside the margins, outside the actual print, are the result of the fact that the print was once glued behind a mat. In the left margin there is a 3 cm vertical opening in the paper, but also outside the print.
See the photos for more details.
The print will be shipped in the frame with mat, possibly without glass. Only at the request of the buyer. Shipping with glass is at your own risk! Is sent by registered mail with insurance service.
