Rare English J F Kendal & Edward John Dent chronometer, patent number registration "6577/ from 1905, serial number "717713". The chronometer is an open face pocket watch with 15 jewels, keyless movement with roller detached anchor escapement with escape wheel (divided lift), balance wheel with spiral and balance spring. White dial with black Roman numerals, seconds at 6 o'clock. Case diameter: 49 mm without crown, 62 mm with crown, (original) crystal thickness: 15.7 mm. Total weight: 98 grams (approx.), in 9 kt gold, like the chain. Year of manufacture: 1912. Kendal & Dent supplied chronometers to the British admiral. There is no visible damage nor are there scratches that affect its beauty (please see the photos for an objective valuation). Winston Churchill, the Duke of Wellington, Queen Victoria and David Livingstone all owned Dent chronometers. Working well. Insured shipping via Catawiki services.
