A mixed lot of antique and vintage Japanese ceramic tableware comprising 6 antique Kutani or Satsuma porcelain dessert plates and a vintage pottery tea set in celadon glaze with a traditional cranes and chrysanthemum pattern.
The tea set would serve 10 persons and includes:
- large melon-shaped teapot
- 5 tea bowls with cranes pattern
- 5 tea bowls with vertical stripes pattern
- 2 objects that resemble tiny teapots
The Kutani/Satsuma plates are made of very fine, almost egg-shell translucent porcelain and hand painted with landscape scenes. There are 5 different scenes in this set. Plate diameter 18.5cm.
Marked as shown.
Condition: excellent condition with only fine crazing on pottery items commensurate with age. Please refer to the pictures for details.
