The Vitra Lobby Chair ES 104 was designed and produced in 1960 by Charles & Ray Eames. In terms of construction and comfort, the Lobby Chair is related to the Lounge Chair. The rotary Lobby Chair consists of three unique cushions that are connected by metal side pieces. Originally, this chair was designed for the lobby of the Time Life Building in New York. In the years to come, however, several other versions were made which all have 1 thing in common: an extraordinary seating comfort. Both the backrest, the seat, the armrests and the side panels are made of chrome plated cast aluminium. The cushions are upholstered with high-quality leather. The armrests are also covered with leather. The 5-star chassis is also made of chrome-plated cast aluminium and has hard wheels suitable soft floors. The ES 104 is equipped with a reversible tilt mechanism. In addition, you can easily adjust the seat height of the Lobby Chair ES 104 by means of a gas spring.
