Small but beautiful collection of ex-libris from the period 1920-1960. Created by well-known and lesser known Dutch artists such as Nic Bulder, Fokko Mees, Pam Rueter, Georg Rueter and Kor Postma, for dentists, pharmacists, professors, doctors and veterinarians. The ex-libris are created by, among others: Bulder, Rueter, Corvers, Mees, Postma, Verbiesen, Broekstra, Verzuu, Van Cleef, Alban, Van der Wissel, Van Luyn, Bol, Mekkink, Van Regteren-Altena, Wielders, Koeman, Scholten, Weynman, Van Ekelen, Maas and Musch. A part of the ex-libris is shown in Croockewit’s standard work on medical ex- libris. The most remarkable ex-libris is made in 1935 by E. Hof, for the recently graduated Jewish physician Herman Sajet, who fled in the war, together with his father and two brothers, in a small boat and made the crossing to England. Created in various techniques, such as relief printing, lithography, woodcut and wood engraving. Condition: fair to good, used and unused.
