Large sheet (approx 68 x 48.7 cm) depicting snakes and ladders revisited by the Fascist regime in the form of propaganda. Each slot contains a caption in rhetorical fascist and militarist style Game with 86 numbered slots: from the landing of Scalfarotto and Niguardina (slot 1), to the entry into Addis-Ababa, Nuovo Fiore dell'Impero Italiano (slot 86). The game is associated with the Supergara Santagostino organised by the company of the same name. On its 60th anniversary (1876-1936), SANTAGOSTINO organised a SUPERGARA with collection of stickers to be found in all Santagostino, Lazzaroni, Fila, Giotto, and Suchard products. Rules on the bottom left, slots with caption. The author (1885-1968), sculptor and illustrator, made drawings, cartoons and posters for several Italian newspapers and advertising agencies from 1912 until his death. From 1929 Santagostino, a stocking factory, promoted a series of advertising campaigns for its socks by publishing a novel, stickers and finally a board game inspired by the campaign of Ethiopia on the occasion of its sixtieth anniversary.
