This important story was difficult to publish Velly died in 1759. He only wrote the first 7 volumes. Villaret resumed the work but died in 1766. Full calf binding, red edges Very nice set in uniform binding, very fresh, very good condition, slight tear on 2 crowns, slightly damaged corners. Wetting on the binding of volume 25 without harming the paper (visible on the first photo).
Origin: Mr Morot Advisor of Roy. On each volume, glued bookplate (handwritten label). The label was torn on a few volumes.
Superb copy virtually complete, very important, very beautiful, and in uniform binding. Rarely so well preserved.
