Rudolf von Sebottendorff:
The leader of the Thule Society, called Rudolf von Sebottendorff (1875-1945) and who’s actual name was Rudolf Glauer, was born on 9 November 1875 in Hoyerswerda, Germany. After an authorised study as an engineer he went to sea and spent several years after that in Turkey, where he dedicated himself to esotericism and occultism. He returned to Germany in 1913 and claimed he was adopted by a Baron von Sebottendorf. The birth register in Hoyerswerda doesn’t contain a mentioning of an adoption. In 1916 Sebottendorff joined the ‘Germanenorden’.
