A small nineteenth-century Russian icon, depicting Christ Pantocrator. This icon was painted in the traditional way with egg tempera on wood and covered on the front with a silver riza. The riza was hammered by hand and marked (I.H.) and dates from 1883. This special icon is from a private collection, is in very good condition and comes with a certificate of authenticity and a purchase note (fl. 1875.00) from 1982.
