Glasfabriek Leerdam - crown spheres (formerly also known as wig stands around 1870)

After working hours, the glassblowers in the glass factory experimented with glass for themselves. The crown spheres acquired a certain amount of fame, spherical or drop-shaped solid glass balls with all kinds of pieces of glass and air bubble decorations. Often, a stand was created in the same style which sometimes had great results. These crown spheres are experiments of glassblowers. No one knows who made these spheres. This is a beautiful large specimen. Height 25 cm, diameter sphere 25 cm, weight 1.7 kg. A lot of beautiful colours and variations, the bubbles are a part of it, there are also 5 beautiful large air bubbles. This really is a showpiece in your interior, and these items are not common. This lot will be well packaged and shipped by registered and insured mail by PostNL or Bpost, in both cases with a tracking number. This lot can also be picked up, due to its fragility, in Lanaken (Belgium).
