Late 16th century, entirely made of walnut, from a museum
Size: height 123 cm, width 18 cm. The board where it is fixed has a depth of 2 cm and a total width of 13 cm. Very heavy chestnut board and walnut sculpture from a local private collection. It was made in the late 16th century, in the Renaissance period. The sculpture was entirely handmade and in that period it was placed in large and precious furniture, also on altars. It’s a unique ornament, impossible to find, wonderful and of the highest quality. This important piece radiates all the charm of its period and it’s a pleasure to observe it. Given the dimensions and the weight I prefer the collection, but I can help the future owner to organise the shipping (at buyer’s expense). Thanks.
