Abraham Hulk junior was the son of Abraham Hulk senior (London), (1813-1897). Like his father, he spent most of his life in England and he made frequent trips to the Netherlands, where he worked in various places. Both countries view Abraham Hulk junior as one of their own. He was born in London and lived and worked here and in Nottingham and in Dorking, Surrey. Abraham Hulk Jr. achieved his artistic height between 1876 and 1892. During this period, he received much appreciation at renowned exhibitions, such as those of the Royal Academy, where he exhibited a total of 24 works over the years. He also took part in the annual exhibitions of the Royal Society of British Artists 15 times. He was best known for his typical Dutch and South English landscapes, which he masterfully captured in watercolours and oil paintings. Size frame: 37-17 cm Panel: 25.5-17 cm.
