In fair condition wood worm treated and two small restaurations. Plychrome retouched in a later period
A genuine large ancient wood head of a saint dated 15th/16th century the polychrom paint could be retouched in a later period as this is in most of the cases .The head was treated against wood worm disease ,and has two small filling on the top ,both of them can be seen on the scans ,further is a very nice example of christian art .The head measures 15x18x16.From an old Amsterdam collection bought from an auction in 1992 ex N.v/d Zalm collection
