Beautiful Opel Blitz platform car with a rare long wheel base, 3.75 meters! The current loading platform can be longer according to Dutch law, (half of the wheelbase may stick out from the back (a total length of 1.875 m)).
The current platform has a floor space of 4 m x 1.95 m, also suitable for large vehicles. The permissible payload in the Netherlands is 1,360 kg (for other countries, it may be higher, or it can be approved again as a light truck). Technical load capacity is higher. The car has a 2.5L 6-cylinder petrol engine with 4 gears. The car has 175,565 km (NAP verifiable).
An LPG tank was built in October 2015, this has been approved on its registration. It hasn’t driven much since (approx. 2,000 km).
A full stainless steel exhaust was fitted in August 2015 as well as 6 new DEKA classic truck tyres (worth €335 each). These tyres are still as good as new as it’s only driven around 2,100 km.
The car was repainted in late 2016. As a result, it looks like new and draws a lot of attention. Be prepared to get lots of attention and compliments whilst driving! The bottom of the car is hard, difficult to see in photos.
The Dutch periodic vehicle inspection expired recently, a new one will be arranged for any Dutch buyers. The vehicle includes 2 aluminium ramps. They sit behind a trap door in the cargo bed.
These vehicles are increasingly rare and therefore increase significantly in value. A few matters could be addressed to make it look completely perfect:
-Window rubbers
-Inside cabin
-A small spot repair on the lacquer (see photos)
-Treat the bottom with tectyl
-Engine runs very nicely, but sweats somewhat
Due to the long wheelbase it is an interesting investment, partly because you can mount another structure on top. You could easily turn it into a food truck.
We offer this car on behalf of a customer. The car is parked warm and dry in a storage facility in Alkmaar. Please contact catawiki for a viewing appointment to avoid disappointment afterwards.
