A nice etching in large format. Full plate border and margins, signed and dated by the artists.
Inventor: Raymond de La Fage (1650-1684)
Draughtsman, etcher and engraver. Studied at the Academie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture (1678) and then in Rome. Active in Toulouse and Paris. Known for bacchanalian and mythological scenes.
Engraver: Franz Ertinger (printmaker; painter/draughtsman; Flemish; French; Male; 1648 - 1710)
Etcher, engraver, designer and miniature painter; born in Weil (Germany), but mainly active in Flanders and France. 1677-1678 Master of St Luke Guild in Antwerp. Probably travelled to Rome; from 1685 lived in Paris where he died.
Published by Gerard Valck, (ca. 1650-1726) around 1685.
