Extrem huge slice of the Seymchan Pallasite.
In 1967 two iron meteorite masses, have been found in the Magadan district, USSR. These masses have been pure iron; so Seymchan was classified as IIE iron meteorite. Systematic search by meteorite-hunters in the last ten years have produced several more masses, most of them with olivines in the iron matrix, so Seymchan is now official classified as main group Pallasite. Through the unbalanced distribution of the olivine crystals there are still some masses with no olivine, but also masses with more olivine than iron matrix. This slice has just some, not translucense, Olivine crstalls at one corner
Two of the Schreiberite inclusions are partly lost by thin cutting and are stabiliced with epoxy.
As meteorite are mostly valued by weight there are meteorite dealers ,who do not tell the weight for extreme thin slices. I will not go that far, but would ask to consider the cost and cut loss of cutting thin slices. weight is 2310g
