Purchased in the Rajasthan region of India.
The trunk was used by noble families to keep the bride's trousseau.
A veritable masterpiece, hand-crafted in valuable, solid teak wood, and hence very heavy.
The front is covered with bas reliefs in brass representing natural and Hindu symbols of good portent for the newlyweds. In brass and iron.
The interior is also in excellent condition.
Hardware parts such as nails, buckles, etc are also made by hand.
