Antique Silver Omani Jambiya Khanjar Dagger - Early 20th century (1926)
Of amazingly intricate craftsmanship, this fine silver enveloped Omani Khanjar is a staple of this nation. 6 1/4 Damascus steel blade, horned handle and repoused silver mounts with woven silver on scabbard. Ornate and intricately decorated silvery covered scabbard with brown leather covering the backside.
Jimbaya daggers with the horned handles are rare and expensive. They are seen as a major status symbol.
It is in top condition for its age. Usual ware but very, very minor. This is an art collectors piece. Historical record. Excellent addition to any collection.
