Stuart Mason - Bibliography of Oscar Wilde - T. Werner Laurie Ltd - No date - 605 pages - octavo - paperback - Very good condition
First edition with the stamp of the publisher and signatures and date of Cécil Georges-Bazile, accompanied by a stamp of the editor of the anarchist journal "Bonnet Rouge"
First edition sent to Cécil Georges-Bazile, author, translator and French printer who had the privilege of translating the works of Oscar Wilde or H.G. Wells among others.
On the strength of these appreciated translations, Cécil Georges-Bazile never ceased to solicit various English and American authors. An impressive collection of dedications or signed letters from these authors, such as H.G. Wells, for example, was produced and regularly received signed or unwritten presentations in the event of translation. Most of the works are also signed by Cécil Georges-Bazile (see my other auction lots).
