Pristine condition - Casterman - one out of only 14 copies!
In 2009 some people in the Jewish community took the initiative to have Tintin translated into Yiddish.
As a test, four pages and the cover of 'The Calculus Affair' and 'The Castafiore Emerald' were translated. Both the Latin and the Hebrew alphabet were used, so people from Israel and Europe can read the story. The album contains additional information about the project and the language; a glossary is also included.
Fourteen copies were actually produced, also for Casterman and Moulinsart. And although many people were interested, the project was cancelled. The dummies came into possession of the originators, publishers Casterman and Moulinsart as well as a few Jewish organisations. Only four (4!) copies were sold to collectors. This is one of these copies!
