1932, New York-USA, iron in good condition
The Royal Signet typewriters were in the last century created by Royal Typewriter co. Inc. N.Y.
"Just like Remington Royal also made a very cheap typewriter during the great depression. The Royal Signet is not only cheap, it also looks like this. Tiny sheet steel and no shift key so it can only type uppercase letters. problem: the readability. Royal solves this by designing a whole new uppercase font design.
Just as the other typewriters from that time, the Signet does not exist for a long time. Still funny is it that at the same time Royal also releases the Signet Senior. With shift and thus large and small letters "
Despite the above rather negative description by a collector of course this machine is a piece of history from the time of the "Black Tuesday"
October 24, 1929, the day that Wall Street collapsed, and therefore very interesting for collectors.
The machine is in good condition, only the Ribbon is dried out and there are some traces of wear and tear.
The dimensions are: 30x30x10cm. Weight 3800 gr.
