Beautiful, rare and very large Merovingian (with Ostrogoth influences) bronze "Radiate-Headed" bow fibula. Circle decoration. The D-shaped main plate is decorated with the circle motif and surrounded by a frame of 5 lobes. Then bow, followed by a foot plate which is also decorated with the circle motif, with, at the bottom, a stylised animal head.

Dating: Merovingian, 6th century A. D.
Provenance: European.
Dimensions: length 14.3 cm - largest width 7.4 cm - weight 40.2 grams
