A beautiful sterling silver (925/1000) box created by Deakin & Francis. Deakin & Francis is a silversmith that was founded in 1786. This wooden box with silver fittings is made in 1929 (year letter E) and originates from Birmingham (marked anchor). The mark signs D&F stand for Deakin & Francis. The box has an engraved pattern and has an oblong box in the bottom left for space for one monogram or initials of the owner.
The bottom is covered with black tape. Height is 3.5 cm, with a width of 9 cm, and a depth of 9 cm. Weighs a total of 187 grams.
