Japanese Kutani porcelain teapot and sugar bowl (without lid). Both marked 'Kutani' on their bases. Meiji period of Japan , ca. 1900.
Very beautiful handcrafted decoration with classic Kutani colors and golden details.
The teapot is decorated on one side with people in the countryside and on the other side with birds and flowers. The top of the teapot is decorated with intricate patterns and overlaid in gold gilt.
The sugar bowl is decorated with birds and flowers (the lid is missing).
Dimensions of the teapot: 22cm height, 13cm diameter and 18cm width
Dimensions of the sugar bowl: 10cm height, 9cm diameter and 13cm width
Very good antique condition as you can see in the photos.
There are no breaks or cracks. The delicate gold details are in very good condition. Some little signs of time. Please see the photos.
