Bakelite, in working condition with minor damage!
The Freia is a very compact foldable case sewing machine with a weight of about 15 kg, and is, with a few simple hand movements, up and running in a few minutes.
The housing of the machine is made of cast aluminium, the case and other tools are of bakelite.
The machine can sew backwards and forwards, the stitch length can be freely selected with a side-mounted hand wheel.
The device has integrated lighting, winding function, a rotating hook and the speed is controlled with a bar directly mounted on the motor shaft and which is operated with the knee.
The whole machine excels by its homogeneous design, ergonomics and the well-lit work surface.
There are many thoughtful details that stand out. The accessories box fits exactly in the opening under the arm and the unit fits perfectly into the carrying case which in turn also serves as a folded extended work table.
