The series ‘Comparisons of the Ogura One Hundred Poets, One Poem Each’ (Ogura nazorae hyakunin isshu) consists of 100 prints by Hiroshige, Kunisada and Kuniyoshi. Each print compares one poem from the famous poetry anthology ‘One Hundred Poets, One Poem Each’ with a scene from Japanese history or theatre. The complete series is discussed in: The Hundred Poets Compared, Hotei Publishing. I will include a copy of the page from this book about the print.
Condition: two wormholes, damaged margins, some pinholes, backed.
