Fifty years after the liberation in 1945, Glasfabriek Leerdam commissioned Jan van der Vaart (1931-2000) to design a new orange vase. To make this possible, old glass recipes from the 1940s were dug up and used for the manufacture of these unique vases. They were released in a limited edition of only 200 pieces, which makes this a rarest orange vase. Between 1994 and 1997, the famous ceramist Jan van der Vaart made for Royal Leerdam unica, serica and utensils. This orange vase has a geometric style characteristic of him.
The height is 12 cm. The condition is clear, flawless and unused. It has a subtle light orange/amber colour with a gradient.
On the bottom engraved with 'royal leerdam'.
