An interesting collector's item !!
This is an American Sarouk, reimported from America.
That is, in the years 1906–1910 America made a so-called compensation deal with Persia.
Carpets came to America, and agricultural machines to Persia.
That is what it says in history books — in reality they traded weapons .
A piece that clearly stands out from the majority of carpets of this style is
the so-called American Sarouk.
The medallion is only hinted at on the salmon-coloured base, one speaks of a LOUVRE pattern because the mosaic in the Louvre in Paris has a similar pattern. Floral arrangements as dotted on a red background
