in good working condition, lock hand made by local blacksmith with iron and brass key
Rare (unique) antique Royal lock of the gate of the Royal estates in Apeldoorn.
The lock was made by a local blacksmith in Apeldoorn and has a rare key shape of copper.
Obtained from the collection of the Nemef locks factory in Apeldoorn at the time.
The lock was probably in their possession because the old lock needed to be replaced for security reasons, for a more modern lock. Nemef kept this lock for its uniqueness, in their own collection, on a wooden stand. The Nemef locks factory was established in 1921 and since 2004 they go under the name Assa Abloy group.
As a supplement for his 35-year-old, private collection of antique locks and keys the collector managed to secure this unique collector slot from Nemef locks. It took a special place in his private collection of antique locks and keys.
Photos: in order to get a good impression of the size, a normal cylinder house key was placed next to the lock.
Height tapering, left 13 cm, right 11.7 cm.
Width 13.3 cm.
Thickness 3 cm.
Key length 11 cm, width 7 cm.
Loose key plate.
Will be sent with track and trace.
