in good condition
The paperweight is an example of the craftsmanship and was purchased by my deceased parents from an antique dealer at an antiques fair of Namur. The star-shaped cut at the bottom and the asymmetric flat shape, combined with a floral or butterfly motif were typical of St Louis objects.
The colourful butterfly is made in a glass paste and underneath there is a medusa-shaped structure with a thousands of bubbles, from which three black flowers arise, from which the clearly visible stem and heart are formed by air!!
At the bottom there is a sun-shaped cut pattern, that has a few chips.
In addition, the round top runs into a seven-sided cut, not symmetrical and therefore very difficult to make.
Have a good look at the photos, there is too much to describe.
