In good condition
Mortar probably created by Willem Wegewaert who worked in Deventer and later Nijmegen between 1542 and 1577. The vintage that is listed on the mortar is 'ANNO 1569' together with the inscription 'SALUTIS NOSTRE'. Beautiful decoration band (Frisian) with kidnapping of Helena. See the photos.
Dimensions: height 11.3 cm, largest diameter 11.3 cm.
The mortar is in good condition with traces of polishing. The pestle is probably not original.

Verpakking kan beter.
