Harley Davidson - FLT Shovel Tour Glide - 1340 cc - 1982

Harley Davidson FLT Shovel Tour Glide Engine: 1340 cc 52 kw (71hp) Year of production: 1982. Matching numbers. Frame and engine number: 1HD1DBK17CY500316 / DBKC500316. Date of first admission: 28-02-1982 Dutch registration number since 21-02-1995. Odometer reading: 14,820 miles (= 23,700 km). This Harley only had one owner in the Netherlands from 21-02-1995 to 10-10-2017. This owner was big and tall (over 2 metres). Therefore the floorboards were placed forward, a high steering was mounted. Not run / driven the last 3 years due to ill owner (worn hips). The Harley currently has an active Dutch registration. If exported: with export documents. Collection in Hellendoorn Older restoration in which the following was done: Frame powder-coated. Paint (metallic black) resprayed. Engine revised. Front and rear brakes renewed. New S&S Super E carburetor. Because it stood still for a long time, the brakes no longer have pressure. The bike needs a major service. With a new car battery, mounted in the right case, and some fresh petrol in the tank the engine started straight away. The engine runs very well. Youtube HD Video: https://youtu.be/aoWO7xCJEWE Gearbox (5V) shifts. Chain to the rear wheel is good. Original exhaust system. Very neat lacquer. Chrome should be polished. Everything works (except the brakes). All keys included. Pan-head horn. Condition of the bike as pictured. Viewing is possible and recommended. Test drive not possible (the brakes do not work). The buyer will receive a souvenir from The Netherlands: Original wooden Dutch clogs. Prior to bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki are responsible for the registration of this vehicle in the buyer’s country.
