History :
We purchase this teddy bear in the “Teddy Bears” Auction at Christie’s South Kensington (London) on Monday 6 dec 1993. Lot N° 174. Estimated value : £ 200-300. Bid Price : £ 190. Our invoice will be part of the sending. Some of the photographs are extracted from the Christie’s Teddy Bear Catalogue (South Kensington, Monday 6 December 1993 at 7.00 pm). 
The front page of that catalogue shows us  “Eliot”, the unique blue plush covered teddy bear by Steiff, which was estimated at £ 15000-20000 and was finally sold at £ 45000 that night !
