Alsatian artist and great traveller, Christian Vogel has been painting for over forty years and lives at the foot of the Alps today.
His paintings and drawings feature in numerous collections in France and abroad.
Some of his works are owned by public institutions.
Self-taught (a disciple of Claudia Hunsinger in his youth) in the noblest sense of the word, he has collected many first prizes
and sponsors several international shows in France and Germany.
Although he is considered an expressionist, he is influenced by much more: the impressionism
of Sisley, the pictorial research of Kandinski, the colourfulness of Fauvism, the introspection
of the Surrealists, and above all questions and doubts concerning our civilization can all be seen in his work.
