The Caribbean 26 was born in Australia in the 70s, original design by Bertram 25 Sport Fisherman, then evolved into the Bertram 26. This boats were built under license of the Australian International Marine shipyard (1278 Ferntree Gully Road - Scoresby 3179 - Victoria, Australia - www.caribbeanboats.com). Once expired the contract of licensed production (the Bertram had now removed these models from the catalogue), the Australians continued the production, making some interesting structural changes and furnishing. The Caribbean 26 is a 1991 boat (watercraft) which stands out for its outstanding hull, trustworthy in any marine weather condition. Excellent performance (minimum plane speed 10 knots) and low power consumption (consumption at economic cruising speed of 18 knots): overall 36 litre/hour; consumption at max. cruising speed of 25 knots: overall 70 litre/hour). Beautiful wooden furniture for cabin and dinette. The dinette has a table for 4, that can be converted in a bed. Very large cockpit suited for all uses: going out with friends, for dinners, fishing, family, etc. Mercruiser 4,3 l engines and stern drives revised in the summer of 2013 with replacement no. 4 riser, no. 4 exhaust manifolds, no 2 circulation pumps, 4 temp. sensors, no. 2 shaft drive bearings, no. 1 flexible coupling, lubricating system, stern drive and trim pumps system (2013). Complete makeover of the electrical system and ground cables (2010). All LED light points (no. 14), navigation lights and LED bottom lights. no.2 new chargers (2015). Multifunction plotter Raymarine A98 9" fish-finder with transducer (2015) Autoclave with shower. Lofran's 1,000W Windlass with three controls; anchor CQR 15 kg. 50 m, chain: 8 mm. (2015).
