Per Lütken for Holmegaard - Cascade vase

Special glass vase from the Cascade line by Holmegaard's head designer, Per Lütken. Made of opaline glass: white on the inside, then the decor and then transparent glass on top of it. The first pieces of the Cascade line date back to 1969 but new items have been added till the late 1970s at least. An exhaustive overview is missing. The Cascade decorative vases line was intended as a successor of the famous Carnaby line. The Cascade vases were long undervalued within the huge Holmegaard legacy. However, there is a growing appreciation for the incredible variation. No Cascade piece is the same! Also typical of the Cascade line are the imperfections in the shape: everything was clearly mouth blown with a certain tempo. Imperfections were part of the uniqueness. Signed at the bottom with HG, the number 7 and the monogram of Per Lütken. There also seems to be a supplementary small engraving/mark. The movements and colours -an autumn forest at a glance - are beautiful. Dimensions: Height: 15.5 cm. Diameter bottom: 9.3 cm. Weight: 489 grams. Condition: Excellent. Glass is in a perfect undamaged condition. A single black tip of 2 millimetres in the transparent glass. This is clearly a particle that whirled inside the glass during the manufacturing. In the glass is here and there a natural air bubble. Please looks at the pictures for more info. Will be sent by registered mail.
