Top piece from my collection of Mercedes memorabilia. Has been in my possession for many years.
Rare display, comes from a German Mercedes-Benz dealership. These glass promotional objects were made in limited edition and were,
at the time, exclusively made for Mercedes dealerships in the 1960s.
Dimensions: 18 x 11 x 0.5 cm.

History:
The name Mercedes and the star are inseparably connected to the brand name Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes automobiles were and are still produced by the organisation and in the factories of Daimler-Benz.
This unique display features the Mercedes/star logo. The word Benz is missing, the star and just the name Mercedes refer to the first Mercedes vehicles (around 1924) to which the suffix “Benz” was not yet added.
Mercedes is also a reference to the name Mercedes, which was the name of the daughter of mister Emile Jellinek. Jellinek was a well-known and successful driver during the early Mercedes years, who competed under a pseudonym. Afterwards, this person, who played an important role in Mercedes import/export, demanded that all Daimler-Benz cars should have the name Mercedes!!
The object has always been properly preserved and is still in perfect condition, no chips!
Extremely rare item, a desired piece among connoisseurs and collectors. I have never seen one like this in my time as a collector of Mercedes automobilia. I’m offering this beautiful piece up for auction, as an enthusiast to other enthusiasts, because I’m downsizing my collection.
