Todeshk rugs are amongst many of the well-known oriental city rugs. Ones produced in the early and mid 20th century, in this small town located between the cities of Nain and Isfahan near central Persia, are collectable and extremely sought after. This privately sourced silk and wool handmade Todeshk Nain rug part of these splendid pieces. Measuring 235x157cm (7’7”x5”) and made around the middle 20th century, has all the attributes such as quality and weave expected from Todeshk carpets. Its design comprising of the floral central medallion with Abrash Blue field, decorated with flowers vines framed by spandrels white field and busy pictorial borders featuring animals and trees. The pile is lustrous and amazingly in good condition.
