Original English bayonet for the Lee Enfield Rifle no. 5 MK I, calibre. 303 British, also known as "the Jungle carbine". Manufactured in 1945 as a bayonet and as a combat knife. Equipped with two locking screws in the mahogany handles and oil hole. Blade has the Radcliffe manufacturer’s mark N 187. The mark on the other side of the blade is unknown to me (see photo). Blade length is 20 cm and the total length is 30 cm. With a matching metal sheath no. 5 MK II and 44 Pattern webbing frog. Uncommon and sought-after bayonet with a high collector’s value.
