In particular, Isfahan carpets made in the early part of the 20th century being the most sought after. It was during this period that the revival of the carpets in this historical city gathered pace. This Isfahan handmade room size wool and silk carpet is a Prime example of rugs belonging to this period. Measuring 345x235cm (11'3"x7'7"), it has a central Shah Abbasi medallion decorated with detailed arabesques, foliage, and spandrels with similarly floral borders in eye-catching pale white and orange colours. Being remarkably in good condition makes it an extraordinary addition to any room whether modern or classic.
