1 bottle - Viña Tondonia 1954 Gran Reserva (75 cl.)
Bought in Rioja in 2007. Stored in private cellar up to today.
100/100 Cellartracker: "This wine is a medium bodied wine, the color has lightened some, but is still a medium ruby red with lightening, but NO signs of browning at the rim. It is only 12.0% alcohol. The wine gave off multiple aromas of red berries, spices, perfumey/floral aromas, cassis, slight hints of mint and tobacco. It tasted of red berries, rhubarb, spices, cassis, mushroom and a couple other flavors. Nice long aftertaste! This wine is by no means done yet. Given the acidity, tannin and structure, this wine has at minimum 15 more years, but would not be surprised at all to see it go 25+ more years".
98/100 Cellartracker: "Beautiful deep ruby color with minimal bricking which is amazing for its age. Expressive aromas of crushed dark berries, tobacco, earth and fresh herbs. The palate showed more of a red fruit profile with some sour cherry and raspberry. Amazing length and still plenty of structure to keep going. A classy and proper bottle of wine".
