This Bidjar was made in India. Originally, Bidjars were made in Iran.
Bidjar is located in western Iran. Bidjars are designed both with and without medallions, this is called a Herati pattern. Bidjars are made of high-quality wool on a cotton warp; they're often thick and compact rugs with the pile pointing almost straight up. Which is why Bidjar rugs are excellent for regular use, with extremely high durability.
This is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.
Main colour: Brick/red.
Accent colours: Cream, green and shades of blue.
Particulars: Lots of nap, rich gloss.
Signs of wear: The rug is in great condition, except for some stains on the fringe.
