From a rare group of small engravings, only found in a trimmed one without signature kept in the Metropolian Museum of Art in NY.

After Francesco Salviati (Francesco de' Rossi) (Italian, Florence 1510–1563 Rome)
Most of his career in Rome after 1531, though with periods in Florence and north Italy 1539-48, and in France 1554-6.
Salviati is without doubt one of the great geniuses of High Mannerism.
Rare by all means and especially in this good early print quality and excellent condition.
